End the Debt Crisis with Debt-Free United States Notes – Petition

Why This Is Important

Money should belong to the people, not the banks, and should be issued in sufficient quantity to meet the productive capacity of the nation, not withheld from circulation by banks that did nothing to deserve it.

Congress is empowered by Article 1, Section 8, of the United States Constitution to produce debt-free United States Notes at any time, for any reason, and actually DID create them under president Lincoln (the original “Greenbacks” – $450 million) to defeat the South during the Civil War, when New York City banks wanted 24-36% interest.

This is money that would not have to be borrowed (thereby avoiding any debt-ceiling issues), taxed to pay for, or backed by Gold. It is legal tender, acceptable for all payments, including taxes.

This new money need NOT be inflationary if dedicated towards those areas of society which are in deflation, such as infrastructure.

U.S. Notes would function as a “Public Option for Money.”

A bill sponsored by Representative Dennis Kucinich and John Conyers, the N.E.E.D. Act, HR 2990 (formerly HR6550), would produce U.S. Notes, specifically for infrastructure, Social Security, and universal healthcare, and make the Federal Reserve a department under Treasury – for the first time, a true branch of government.

Even if you don’t believe in the full measure of HR 2990, our current debt-ceiling crisis, which comes on the heels of the Federal Reserve pumping $16 trillion into the banking system, leaving most Americans struggling with over 9% unemployment, and asking “Where is my bailout?” points to the need for a real, meaningful – and immediate – solution that would provide jobs and opportunities.

United States Notes were our country’s longest-living currency, lasting until the Mid-1990s. They were accepted everywhere and were widely embraced when they first came out in the late nineteenth century. It is time again for America to take back its sovereign right to “coin Money” – Article 1, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution.

Support the True Greenback, United States Notes!

Good evening from Washington, I’m Still reporting on the Libertarian Party Presidential race.

In the Preamble to the Libertarian Party Platform of 2010, the second sentence contains a very interesting concept – a truly unique concept in all of American politics:

“We believe that … force and fraud must be banished from human relationships.”

But this year, most of the LP leadership has essentially disavowed this noble concept in favor of a new one: “anything goes to get a few more votes; even the use of force and fraud??? No problem.”

Now before I go on, I’m going to say this may be the last time I talk about this. Watch it, do your own research, believe it or ignore it. I’m tired of having to go negative on Gov. Johnson, but as I’ve said before, his candidacy represents a takeover of the Libertarian Party — not only by the Republican Party — but the most nasty, pro-Federal Reserve wing of the Republican Party.

That’s the only thing that can possibly explain the mindless two-pronged Johnson economic policy:

So who is behind this takeover of the LP?

This guy, Andrew Miller — the one in the pink shirt – is sitting with Gov. Johnson at breakfast a couple of weeks ago in Georgia. He and a gorgeous black-haired Australian woman have been in the Johnson entourage until they disappeared at the California convention. They had been with Gov. Johnson since the first convention he showed up at in Manhattan.

However, what I found out in California was that Miller and the beautiful Australian actually work for this man, Roger Stone, probably the dirtiest of the American political consultants.

Stone is known as Richard Nixon’s dirty trickster. I was told that Stone even has a tattoo of Nixon on his back. I didn’t really believe that until I Googled his name and this picture came up.

Stone calls himself “a GOP Hitman”. Hitman??? Is that what we really want the LP to be all about? Really? Like the mafia in charge of the LP?

A famous Stone quote when he was working for Nixon was “By night I’m trafficking in the black arts.”

Time magazine claimed that it was Stone who was behind the controversial Willie Horton ads when he was working for George HW Bush in 1988.

In late February – less than a month ago — Stone suddenly announced – after spending 40 years at the top levels of the Republican party — that we was changing over to the LP.

Here is another Stone quote: “Admit nothing, deny everything, launch counterattack.”

How can any Libertarian not understand the danger. This is a guy who has made his living for at least 40 years by the initiation of force and fraud on the American body politic?

At the Michigan convention a couple of weeks ago, I called on Gov. Johnson to denounce Stone and deny any affiliation with him, and to fire him.

I also called on my fellow Presidential candidates to denounce Stone’s role in LP politics. To date, not a one of them has joined me.

I’m Still reporting from Washington. Good evening.

Hello, Mr. Still,

I hope you’re having a great week! I wanted to touch base with you and let you know that my offer still stands – if there is anything I can do to help promote your candidacy in Michigan, or with anything else, please do not hesitate to put me to use.

I was very inspired by your speech on Saturday night and hope that you know that there are so many people who look to you for the passionate leadership we need.

Thank you for taking the time to speak to us. I was just telling my parents about you tonight. They are starting to soften to the ideas I’m sharing with them. You offer an alternative to the status quo, and a compelling argument against the GOP establishment.

Do not lose heart.

There are MILLIONS of Americans who share the same sentiments as my parents – people who are disgusted with the direction our country is headed, but afraid to make the switch to the “third party”. I am convinced today, more than ever, that the message you have to share is NOT that of a marginalized “third party”. The message you are sharing is resonating with the American voter in ways that NEITHER of the traditional platforms can!!!

The other two parties want mainstream Americans to continue to dismiss the Libertarian platform and our candidates because they are scared to death of the resounding voices of agreement we would hear if we were to gain meaningful traction. There is absolutely NO WAY that the Republican Mayor of Troy, a woman who does NOT support the Libertarian movement in any authentic way, would have traveled two hours from her Oakland County home to an “obscure” “third party” get-together, if she were not completely aware that the GOP is losing its luster among her constituents.

But I digress…

I’m here to help.

Have a great night!

Stacy from Michigan
After a week long struggle, Delegate Bob Marshall has triumphed over the forces of repression as the Virginia State Senate has passed his bill to prevent Virginia agencies and employees from taking part in illegal and indefinite federal detention of United States citizens.

The bill, HB 1160, was returned to the Virginia Senate yesterday where it passed by the overwhelming margin of 37-1. It now lands on the desk of Gov. Bob McDonnell who has expressed doubts about the legislation. Everyone should call the Governor’s office to urge him to sign the bill.

This is as “grassroots” as it gets.

I am 1 guy sending 1 email (that I wrote without prompting) to the people in my contact list that I think this might apply to.

Bill Still is the filmmaker that brought you ‘The Money Masters’ (1996) and ‘The Secret of Oz’ (2010). ‘The Money Masters’ is one of the most watched videos in Youtube history. As you know if you have seen it, ‘The Money Masters’ is the comprehensive, evergreen, and unparalleled telling of Mankind’s struggle to shake off the chains of monetary oppression. It is a masterwork that is untouchable by any other work on the subject and is more dense with information than documentary I have ever seen on any subject. ‘The Secret of Oz’ is a shorter, less dense, easier to digest film on the same subject.

Bill Still is running for President in 2012 as a Librarian. I am so excited by the idea of Bill Still being the 3rd man on the 2012 Presidential Ballot (under Obama and Romeny) that I have already donated to his Campaign and to the Libertarian Party of Texas. There is a problem however. Bill Still decided years ago to give all his life’s work away for free on youtube, and while he is still able to live comfortably off of the sales of the books he has written, Bill Still needs help funding his Presidential Campaign.

You see Mr. Still has not yet cliched the Libertarian nomination. Standing in his way is former Republican Governor of New Mexico Gary Johnson. Bill Still refuses to put his Campaign in debt to compete with Gary Johnson, but Gov. Johnson does not feel the same way. Gov. Johnson’s Campaign (according to his quarterly filings) is well over ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS in debt. This money is being leveraged to try to buy the nomination, and it could work.

Bill Still needs your help now. On April 7th the Libertarian Party of Texas is hosting a Presidential debate in Ft. Worth Texas. DFW is my home base so I am more excited for this debate than any of the ones previous. I will be there for sure, but there is only 1 way to make sure Bill Still is there and that is to donate to his campaign (he has already sent notice to the Texas LP that he plans to participate in the Debate). Right now Bill Still is running 2nd to Gary Johnson in this horse race due to Gov. Johnson’s recent media exposure (running for President as a Republican) and his well organized ground game (funded by bank financed debt). If we can keep Bill Still in the game till the Libertarian Party National Convention in the first week of May I am SURE that Bill Still will be on the Libertarian Ticket and will then automatically be on the 2012 US Presidential Ballot in the November General Election. By my estimation all that is needed is to raise enough money so that Mr. Still can make it to every debate (pay for travel expenses).

THAT’S HOW EASY IT IS FROM HERE.

All you need to do is visit STILL2012.COM and hit the donate button. Donate whatever you want. If you are like me and you appreciate how much Bill Still’s films have inspired and educated yourself and the people in your network… YOU SHOULD GIVE GENEROUSLY.

I know that I have benefited GREATLY from Bill Still’s life’s work and (before donating to his campaign just recently) had never given him a dime.

Join me please. Donate via Paypal and make sure and leave him a comment saying that you donated this money to help pay for Mr. Still’s trip to Ft. Worth to participate in the Presidential Debate on April 7th. If he misses even 1 debate I am afraid that the LP Delegates at the National Convention in May will misinterpret that as a lack of commitment on Mr. Still’s part. He is fully committed to this Campaign, but he is also committed to his pledge that he will not let his Campaign go in to debt to finance itself.

PS. Bill Still’s Campaign needs your help at this crucial juncture to be able to participate in the upcoming Presidential Debate in Ft. Worth, Texas on April 7th 2012.

Go to his Campaign Website WWW.STILL2012.COM and donate on using Paypal. Be sure to leave him a note saying you are happy to help him now since he has shared his invaluable knowledge with so many people over the years for free.

With your help now Bill Still will be the 3rd man on the 2012 Presidential Ballot in November (under Obama and Romeny).

Please feel free to forward this Email to everyone who has seen or should see ‘The Money Masters’.

Yes I am still supporting Ron Paul and will until the end, but it looks like 2012 may not be his year.

A small investment now will help ensure that in November you will have a Presidential Candidate on the Ballot that you can be proud to vote for.
Bill,

I saw your Money Masters video on public access television in New York City yesterday. I can hardly believe you made this in 1996. You are the Man! Thanks you so much.

I’m inclined to believe you because everything you mentioned that I knew about (Rothschilds history, Jeckyyl Island, etc) was spot on: Such as the way Nathan Rothschild got the news of Waterloo a day early and used it to dupe his associates into selling low so he could buy low and take over the Bank of England.

The Tea Party and Ron Paul should have your research in hand!

You’ve done a great job. Way to go buddy.

Good evening from Washington, I’m Still reporting on the economy.

Boy oh boy, hot money has been flying out of central banks at an unprecedented rate in a desperate attempt to prevent a massive market meltdown. Will it work? Maybe, but not for long.

Yesterday, Bloomberg provided 4 conflicting numbers for the amount of money just issued by the European Central Bank, the ECB. At 6:30 am, they reported that European markets were rising because the ECB had announced that they intended to lend over 500 billion Euros to the banks, which was more than the 400 billion expected.

Then, by 7 am, that number changed to 600 billion Euros. The next report – about 2 minutes later – stated that the number was 3/4 of a trillion Euros. One would hope that such a big number would be known with more precision, but noooo.

But when you actually understand what’s going on, it gets even more frightening.

The European banks are taking their new money and then depositing it right back into the hands of the ECB to use as reserves so that they can then multiply it by a factor of 50 to buy what??? Bonds of the troubled European nations. These bonds are nothing but more debt owed by the very troubled nations that are already underwater in debt.

So this is a shell game – a horrendous ponzi scheme that will soon implode leaving much of Europe devastated.

But wait, wait, it still gets worse. In order to keep Europe from looking like the hyperinflation monster it really is, the Bank of England just pumped new hot money into their system – a mere 50 billion British pounds.

So why am I calling this “hot money”? Because injections of cash into commercial banks by central banks ALWAYS, ALWAYS boosts the stock market sto artificially high levels – and, I might add – ALWAYS leads to yet another bust when the injections stop – as they must as inflation begins to run away – as IT MUST.

But it gets worse, still. China, during the same period announced that it will be inflating its money supply as well. The idea is if all stock markets rise at once, the unknowing public won’t realize what’s really going on until it’s too late.

Of course, ever-rising stock markets is great for President Obama’s re-election chances – in fact, if they can maintain the hot money spiral, he’s a lock at this point.

But experts like Market Ticker guy, Karl Denninger, know that this can’t go on forever. So, it’s not IF the crash will come, it’s WHEN.

European nations – all nations — are addicted to borrowing from banks – addicted to living far beyond their means. That’s why I frequently point out that this debt money system which is strangling the economy of every nation is THE leading cause of most of the world’s hunger, poverty, misery and disease. Monetary reform is the new human rights movement.

It’s no wonder the average person is confused. When the media won’t sound the alarm, and the politicians are either too bought, or too confused to tell the truth to the public, no wonder everyone is completely confused.

Perhaps the worst example of a confused politician is Libertarian front-runner Gov. Gary Johnson. At the Florida Libertarian convention 3 weeks ago, Johnson admitted to Karl Denninger that he just didn’t understand the economy or the money issue. But that doesn’t keep him from opining on both at Libertarian Presidential debates.

Incredibly, last Friday, Johnson said on the Butler on Business radio show in Atlanta that borrowing is good.

“It’s one thing to borrow money, which is an OK phenomenon; but it’s another thing to print money and what we need to do is to stop printing money. So I’m promising to submit a balanced budget to Congress in the year 2013. Now that’s not promising a balanced budget because Congress is going to have to go along with that.”

Hmmmm, so it’s ok for the government to borrow, eh? And so obviously you’re not going to do anything about the ever-growing interest payments on the National Debt, which this year will exceed the entire discretionary budget of Congress — $550 billion. But he probably misspoke, right? RIGHT???

“Borrowing is ok. Printing money; that’s what we need to stop.”

Really, really unbelievable! Gov. Johnson, please read my book, “No More National Debt” wherein you’d find that we are not “printing” money. Every time the national debt limit is raised, we are actually going out and borrowing EVERY DOLLAR of that debt limit increase. It is absolutely shocking that Johnson understands so little about the American money system.

Johnson is pretty conflicted when it comes to borrowing and debt:

“I think we all really want to help those truly in need, but I think we’ve gone way beyond that and let’s live within our means.”

Oh really? There is only one candidate in the Libertarian race who is not living within his means, and that is Gov. Johnson. He is spending money like there is no tomorrow in his quest to gain the Libertarian nomination. But still worse, according to his Jan. 31 Federal Election Commission report, the Johnson campaign was over $200,000 in debt.

“I think we all really want to help those truly in need, but I think we’ve gone way beyond that and let’s live within our means.”

Yes, we do, Governor. I’m sure your lack of frugality is starting to sink in with Libertarians. And so what does Johnson think about the Fed?

“I would abolish the Federal Reserve if given the opportunity, but as you all know, abolishing the Fed is not the end-all. The Treasury would still print money. They would have to. They printed money before there was a central bank when other countries without a central bank print money….”

Huh? Gary, the only money the U.S. government creates is coins. That’s it; less than 1% of the money supply. With the exception of the Fed’s 2 rounds of QE, all money is created by commercial banks as interest bearing debts. But wrong-way Johnson wasn’t done yet:

“We own the Federal Reserve. There is this misconception that the Federal Reserve is some private entity. But if I might give an analogy here, we – U.S. taxpayers – own all the stock in the Federal Reserve.”

This is so not true, Gary, and every Libertarian knows it. Numerous Federal Court decisions have all held that the Fed is NOT a part of the U.S. government. The latest was in 1982 in Lewis v. United States, where the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit stated:

“The Reserve Banks are not federal instrumentalities … but are independent, privately owned and locally controlled corporations.”

Also, the government owns zero stock in the Fed, All stock is owned by the member COMMERCIAL banks, and every Libertarian knows that as well. You aren’t talking to your usual audience of the Republican uninformed, Gary.

Governor Johnson is good at bluffing his way through subjects just like every rich politician. This is just the opposite of what Libertarianism stands for. Economic policy is just too critical in this election to hand the keys over to someone who knows so little — and that which he does say is sooooo wrong.

This coming weekend, March 2-4, I’ll be at the California Libertarian State Convention in Ventura, California at the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza, 450 East Harbor Blvd. 93001. Come on out and register as a Libertarian on Sunday. The Presidential Straw Poll will be some time on Sunday. I’d appreciate your vote.

And remember, we still need money. We don’t have enough to make it all the way to the National Convention held this year in Las Vegas on May 4 & 5. Please go to http://www.Still2012.com/ and hit the Donate button and give what you can. That’s all we ask.

I’m Still reporting on the economy. Good evening.

Bob Marshall’s bill to mandate that Virginia agencies not comply one of the most controversial provisions of President Obama’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is quickly moving towards passage in the Virginia legislature, perhaps as early as today.

According to Marshall:
“Yesterday, I agreed to an amendment of my HB 1160 in the state Senate which now reads:”

“1. § 1. Notwithstanding any contrary provision of law, no agency or political subdivision of the Commonwealth, or employee of same acting in his official capacity, shall aid an agency of the United States in the unlawful detention of any United States citizen pursuant to 50 U.S.C. § 1541 as provided by the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 (P.L.112-81, § 1021).”

“The House of Delegates has to accept the Senate Amendment, and I will ask them to do so,” said Marshall. “This may come up tomorrow, March 1, 2012. I would like to ask you to contact the members of the House in support of HB 1160 as amended. You can find out who your delegate is by going to http://conview.state.va.us/whosmy.nsf/main?openform and you can email them from there.

“I would like to also ask you to contact Governor Bob McDonnell in support of the bill because he has previously expressed some reservations about an earlier version of the bill.”

“Once the amended bill passes the House it will be sent to him for his signature and it is imperative that he know how many Virginians support this legislation. You can contact Governor McDonnell by going to his website and emailing him at https://www.governor.virginia.gov/AboutTheGovernor/contactGovernor.cfm or by calling (804) 786-2211. ”
“Wyoming’s online news source”
reporting: Jeremy Pelzer

“CHEYENNE — State representatives on Friday advanced legislation to launch a study into what Wyoming should do in the event of a complete economic or political collapse in the United States.

“House Bill 85 passed on first reading by a voice vote. It would create a state-run government continuity task force, which would study and prepare Wyoming for potential catastrophes, from disruptions in food and energy supplies to a complete meltdown of the federal government.

“The task force would look at the feasibility of Wyoming issuing its own alternative currency, if needed.

“The bill’s sponsor, state Rep. David Miller, R-Riverton, has said he doesn’t anticipate any major crises hitting America anytime soon. But with the national debt exceeding $15 trillion and protest movements growing around the country, Miller said Wyoming — which has a comparatively good economy and sound state finances — needs to make sure it’s protected should any unexpected emergency hit the U.S.

“Several House members spoke in favor of the legislation, saying there was no harm in preparing for the worst.

“I don’t think there’s anyone in this room today what would come up here and say that this country is in good shape, that the world is stable and in good shape — because that is clearly not the case,” state Rep. Lorraine Quarberg, R-Thermopolis, said. “To put your head in the sand and think that nothing bad’s going to happen, and that we have no obligation to the citizens of the state of Wyoming to at least have the discussion, is not healthy.”
